Should I drop a year for IIT-JEE 2017, or take admission in any private college.

When it comes to taking a drop for an year, it may work out for you, or it may not. If you're really determined to get into an IIT, then you can definitely think about sacrificing an year or Instead of thinking about the JEE, sort out in which stream you want to do your graduation. After you have done that compare what opportunities these colleges offer in your field. Try to connect with the alumni and ask about future prospects in terms of placements, extra curricular activities etc. Opportunities are plenty.
