I personally suggest not to waste year because it values a lot. But if you have strongly decided to take a drop go for it. But atleast you must check that "can I get college in my current percentile". For complete list of colleges that you may have a shot at, please check : college predictor

If u think ur rank or score is not good or u r not satisfied u can drop if u r okay with it no need to drop.So decision is urs we can only suggest.If u r thinking to drop u need to do hard labour and to prepare a tym table and read regularly and u should clarify ur doubts there shouldn't be any doubt regarding anything.So,It's total upto u.Make decisions wisely!
