Hello Dear,

To appear for UPSC IES exam the lower age limit is 21 years and  upper age limit is 30 years. So based on the age limit provided by the UPSC the candidates can appear for the examination.

Age relaxation is provided to those who have worked with any government organization on contractual basis for period of 3 years or more.

Age relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit is also provided to the SC, ST, OBC, PWD. Example: servicemen and Jammu and Kashmir domiciled candidates.

Now you know the age limit for the IES examination, you can accordingly decide to appear for the exam.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!
