Sir, how many seats each pvt medical college is supposed to reserve for government quota?
Answer (1)
There is nothing as a rule that every Private Medical College has a certain percentage of seats to give to the Governent to filll under the Government Quota. Every Private Medical College allots a certain number of seats to Government and these seats are called A Category Seats. Their fees is according to Government Standards. Then come the Management Quota seats which are also called B Category seats. Their fees is nothing less than 40 lakhs on average because these are the revenue generating seats for the college. Next is the NRI Quota and the name speaks for itself. It is an agreement between the Government and the State Counselling Authorities as how many seats are to be offered for the counselling. The rest can be filled through Management Quota and NRI Quota. In Tamilnadu for example, it is 65% and in Telangana it is 50%. So it totally depends on the State involved. The fees structure for these seats is filled according to the Government fees structure.
