First of all, now there is no more JEE main  January session , from 2021 JEE main is conducted in four sessions , in 2022 you will have:-

February session 2022

March  session 2022

April session 2022

May session 2022

Coming to your doubt of ews certificate,

Your ews certificate is valid for one financial year  which means that if you get your ews  certificate made now then it will be valid till 31st March 2022 as Financial year starts on 1st April and ends on 31 March and you can use it while filling the jee main application form of jee main February session 2022 etc.

The important thing to note down is that during counselling of jee main 2022 , you must upload E W S certificate issued on or after 1st April 2022 as new financial year gets started from 1st April. So, for counselling, you will have to get ews certificate made again either on or after 1st April 2022

Once the application form gets released, you can fill the jee mains application form  in online mode following  the given below steps -

For the January session and in the application form if they want you to upload the ews then obviously you need to make your ews certificate now and in the may session if it's mentioned that they want ews certificate after April then you need to apply for it again. Although the ews certificate is valid for one year.
