Sir my son got 69896 rank in VITEEE 2018 can he get admition to Mechanical or Electronics in Vellore or Chennai.
As per the cutoff observed in 2016 and 2015, for Vellore and chennai campus, the closing ranks below 45000 have had great chances for conversion into Civil & mechanical engineering.
In your case, we expect low chances.
Hence, we alternatively suggest you to opt for VIT amravati or Bhopal campus where chances seem excellent for Mechanical and Civil engineering.

You are not having good chances as the last year's cutoffs for all branches was 50000. The rank above this is very unlikely to get admission.
VIT does not release VITEEE 2018 cutoff in the form of marks but releases it in the form of closing ranks. These closing ranks of the candidates in VITEEE becomes the cutoff of VITEEE. Candidates are required to score the cutoff of VITEEE 2018 to be eligible for admission to the various B.Tech programmes at VIT. Candidates can avail the VITEEE 2018 cutoff as soon as VIT announces the same. However, they can check VITEEE cutoff for previous years.
