Dear Aspirant,
Let me provide you a brief insight regarding marks in Jee Mains, it's distribution, percentile and rank.
The three subjects included are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics ( each having 25 questions or 100 marks).
Hence, the total or maximum marks is 300(100 +100+100)
Now, let me to you how percentile is calculated ( i.e. on shift or session basis ).
Percentile of a student:-
( Number of students who scored marks less than you in your shift/ total number of students who appeared in your shift) * 100.
Rank is calculated on the basis of marks. Higher the marks, lower or better the rank.
B.Tech/B.Arch Admissions OPEN
Students need to score close to 210 marks to qualify for JEE ADVANCED for general category students.
