Hi Neha Bharti,
There is no limit to ones expectations. There are a wide number of options available at various ranks.According to me a Rank under 15,000 is good as it will help you get into various reputed colleges including some NITs & BITs. You can also get a good branch if you go for counselling very properly.
You should decide for drop keeping in mind your expectations from yourself. If you feel that the College/Branch you are getting is suitable for you and you can excel in it whole heartedly, then you should not take a drop.
But if you feel that you have not performed your best this year and you can do a lot better than this next year, then you should go for a drop.

Yes a student can drop more than one year.
If you are not satisfied with your result, then of course you can drop an year.
Since you can give 3 attempts in Jee mains and 2 for Jee Advance.
So if you are not getting any good collg then only I will suggest you to take a drop.Because 2 year drop is not a good decision, since in the future you will be asked about this 2 year drop in the interviews.
Rest decision is yours.

Hello,
Yes one can drop more than one year for jee mains exam preparation. But after that you can only give jee mains. Even if you qualify mains you would not be able to give JEE advanced. Because according to rules a student can occur for jee mains 3 times and advanced only 2 times.
If your aim is just to qualify mains and take a admission through mains marks you can drop more than a year.
