Sir/Ma'am, I am overweight. Am I eligible for MBBS course in AIIMS or any other government college?
hello,
mbbs stands for bachelors of medicine and surgery. if you are overweight you will nit be denied admission to any medical college .
yes, medical tests of the students are conducted in many government medical colleges but you are not denied admission on that basis. in AFMC , you would be declared overweight , but still not denied admission on this basis.
so, yes you are totally eligible for mbbs course in AIIMS or other government medical colleges.
hope it helps,
all the best.
Hello,
Being over weight does not make you ineligible for MBBS course. Even if you are over weight you can do MBBS course. The full form of MBBS is Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery and it is the term that is used for those students who are pursuing the five year degree programme in medicine. It is a highly competitive programme as the admissions are offered on the basis of rank acquired in NEET examination. Applicants should have done at least 10 + 2 with mandatory subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
