Considering some points and factors the comparison can be done. Here some of them are mentioned:

  1. Infrastructure: Excellent! No matter which branch you are in, lack of facilities is never going to be a problem. It is a huge campus, and the interiors are the best. There is a huge reading room with centralised air-conditioning system, which is a nice place to study. In comparison DY Patil College of Engineering is older and having lack of some facilities that is given by previous one. Though the College has state-of-the-art infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories. Classrooms are well with facilities like ventilation, huge space and E-learning facility.
  2. Faculty and academics: TCET is an autonomous institute, faculties here are not upto the mark as per students review. Not maximum of the professors are PHd holder. Academics is comparatively bad. On the other hand DY Patil College of Engineering is not the best in term of this but better than previous one. Though as per academics both of these are not upto the mark. There are several private institutions are there which have better faculty members and better Academics.
  3. Placement: Now the most important topic or question for all engineering student is placement. well for TCET Placements do not depend on your branch, and at the end, you will get placed in an IT company. Employability skill development programs are conducted to make every student employable. If you qualify in the interview, you get the highest salary package of 11 LPA and the lowest salary package of 3.5 LPA. The average placement is almost same for both the Institutions. Both DY Patil College of Engineering and TCET have strong placement cell. But the placement for Civil, Mechanical and electrical is not that much rather CSE, ECE or IT branches provide better placement opportunities.
  4. Affiliation and Ranking: DY Patil College of Engineering is approved by AICTE, the NBA and the DTE, the College is affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. In NIRF ranking it has ranked 196 with a score of 31.15, on the other hand TCET is NAAC 'A' graded Institute but it has no ranking in national Institutional Ranking Framework, which can be considered as a backdrop of this Institution.

So considering all these points select your college accordingly. Hope it would be helpful.
