There is a huge reading room with centralised air-conditioning system, which is a nice place to study. In comparison DY Patil College of Engineering is older and having lack of some facilities that is given by previous one. Though the College has state-of-the-art infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories. Classrooms are well with facilities like ventilation, huge space and E-learning facility.
- Faculty and academics: TCET is an autonomous institute, faculties here are not upto the mark as per students review. Not maximum of the professors are PHd holder. Academics is comparatively bad. Employability skill development programs are conducted to make every student employable. If you qualify in the interview, you get the highest salary package of 11 LPA and the lowest salary package of 3.5 LPA. The average placement is almost same for both the Institutions. Both DY Patil College of Engineering and TCET have strong placement cell. But the placement for Civil, Mechanical and electrical is not that much rather CSE, ECE or IT branches provide better placement opportunities.
