Correct Answer: 4.36
Solution : Given: The average of six numbers = 3.52. The average of two of them = 3.7 The average of the other two is 2.5 We know that, the sum of numbers = Average × Count of numbers So, the total sum of six numbers = 3.52 × 6= 21.12 And, the total sum of the first two numbers = 3.7 × 2 = 7.4 And, the total sum of the other two numbers = 2.5 × 2 = 5 So, the total sum of remaining two numbers = 21.12 – 7.4 – 5 = 8.72 Now, Average of remaining two numbers = $\frac{8.72}{2}$ = 4.36 Hence, the correct answer is 4.36.
