Hello Applicant,
In any case, the exam is held twice a year might seem to be a good deal but students will now be more pressurized. Though it is somehow beneficial as it will give you a first-hand experience before the exam that is conducted in May. It may help in reducing pressure.
The exam will be held in JAN 2019 and the other in April 2019 as per the latest news. Also, only online mode is available from now onwards. No exam will be conducted offline.
There will be 8 Testing Dates in one portion of the examination and student can attend one exam each in both the period available.
JEE Mains for entrance into the IITs will be held twice. The best of both scores will be accepted as the candidate's final result. Also, it isn't mandatory for students to write both.
Good luck!
