There is no number of limits to appear for JEE Main but a candidate can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years. For JEE Main 2021 the eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 in 2019 or 2020 or must be appearing in the qualifying exam in the year 2021. So if you appear for JEE Main 2021 in one or all sessions then it will be considered as one attempt.

Yes it will be considered as one attempt only it will not be considered as four attempts. NTA has released the JEE Main 2021 exam date for February, March, April & May session. National Testing Agency (NTA) has updated all JEE Main 2021 dates at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The online registration for JEE main 2021 started on December 16. JEE main 2021 is a computer-based exam conducted for admission in B.E/B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan. The JEE main application from is released on the official JEE Main website. The last date to submit the JEE Main application form 2021 for the February session is January 16. NTA will release the admin cards in the second week of February 2021.
