I was going through the Newspaper this morning and found this article. This might help you:

This year there are approximately 80,000 MBBS seats available and approximately 15 lakhs students are estimated to appear for NEET. As AIIMS and JIPMER seats also will be filled through NEET,the competition only gets higher. In such cases TN SCERT or NCERT books might just not be enough. With as many as 4 months left for preparation, you should consider these books:

Physics Best Books:

NCERT Physics Class XI & Class XII
Concepts of Physics by H. C. Verma
Objective Physics By DC Pandey
Fundamentals of Physics by Halliday, Resnick and Walker
Fundamental Physics by Pradeep
Problems in General Physics by IE Irodov

In Physics, Concepts of Physics by HC Verma should be referred for advance problem solving and conceptual clarity. 32 years NEET Chapterwise and Topic Wise solved papers Physics by Dishal Publications will make you exam ready.

Chemistry Best Books:

NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII
Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
Dinesh Chemistry Guide
Practise books by VK Jaiswal, MS Chauhan and N Awasthi

For Physical Chemistry, Chemistry for NEET by Cengage Publications is a good choice. Oragnic Chemistry by Morrison and Boyd is a good book. For Inorganic Chemistry, GRB Concept of Inorganic Chemistry by OP Tandon is an ideal option.

Biology Best Books:

NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII textbooks
Biology Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Trueman
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Objective Botany by Ansari
Pradeep Guide on Biology
GR Bathla publications for Biology

NCERT Biology Booster by Shri Balaji Publications and NCERT Fingertips by MTG Editorial Baord have topics that are not covered in NCERT and TN SCERT.

Hi Packiyanathan,

If you are preparing for NEET entrance exam then you should consider its level of examination. You can prepare for NEET with TN SCERT but it will not be enough to get you some excellent ranks. You should utilize multiple books to clear your doubts and understand better. The more you understand the better you will perform in the exam. According to me, you can take help from couple of books to get better understanding of your subjects. You can get better guide from internet also. Try to utilize every possible way that can get you through your path.

No, TN SCERT books are not enough but it will be helpful. You must concentrate on NCERT books and try to read those books. TN SCERT books have minimum source and NEET asks most from NCERT books. You must read both 11th and 12th books from NCERT and SCERT but reading NCERT will be more helpful with detailed subject content.
