Step 1, Step 2CK will cost 1 lakh each (total 2 lakh) including preparation costs.

Step 2 CS is to be taken inside US only. Hence including transportation cost, flight costs,housing costs, Step 2cs will cost you 2.5-3 lakh

Optional Electives will cost 3-4 lakh for 3-4 months

Interviewing season will cost you 4-5 lakh altogether.



I'm not mentioning Step 3 because that's optional and can be taken after you get a job at a hospital.

The USMLE is a licensing exam to pursue residency in the US and practice there.

A doctor needs to qualify the Step 1, step 2 CK and CS  in order to be eligible for the match.

Briefly one should be willing to invest around 15 to 20 lakh INR for the entire process until match.
