Dear Saiprasad,

Taking m1 and m2 as mass of first and second rod respectively.

m1=4×2= 8kg (m = lamda × lenght)

m2=6×3=18kg

Where lamda is linear density.

Now lets say the interface is our reference which is assumed to be (0,0)

Therefore, the coordinates and Centre of two rods is (-1,0) and (1.5,0) respectively.

Using the formula of Centre of mass -

r = (m1×r1 + m2×r2) /(m1+m2)

=>( 8×(-1) + 18×(1.5))/22

=> 19/22 =0.8636

Hope this helps :)
