we have given income above 8 lakhs but clicked obc ncl category. will we come under reserved category for neet
You should ideally select OBC Category because OBC-NCL as OBC Non Creamy Layer Certificate is for those Candidates whose annual family income is less than 8 lakhs. But if your family income is more than 8 lakhs per annum, you do not fall under OBC-NCL but will be considered under OBC. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category. If you do not have a OBC-NCL certificate which is valid by the time of Counselling or document verification, your Candidature and admission will stand cancelled as NTA will not make any corrections to the applications on your behalf. Your last chance to make corrections was the correction window. Once it has been closed, you cannot make any changes to the application form.
Dear student,
OBC NCL Stands for Other Backward Class Non-Creamy Layer category which means that those people belong to Other Backward Classes are of two types:-
Creamy Layered
Non-Creamy Layered
Non-Creamy Layer is those people comes under whose parent’s annual income comes under 8 lakhs.
As it is mentioned above 8 lacs it will cause a blunder, whenever the correction window opens up change the details accordingly.
Hope this helps.
