What about b.arch is it have scope ???can provide placement?
B.Arch is a 5 year professional degree course. One can go for a job after B.Arch for a good experience or can start own consultancy firm (firm needs experience which one can get only after job).
Council of Architecture (COA) India provides license for practicing as an architect. In terms of colleges, Few of the top Indian architectural colleges are:
- SPA delhi,
- Sir J.J College of architecture and arts, Mumbai
- CEPT ahmedabad
- CCA Chandigarh
- NITs of hamirpur, Bhopal, Kojhikode, Patna, Jaipur, Trichy
- There are many other colleges that also have much recognition in architecture namely: Rizvi college-mumbai, Narsee Monji-Mumbai, GNDU-Amritsar, Chitkara univ-Chandigarh, Giani zail singh univ-Bhathinda,Vastu kala academy-Delhi, Sushant school of architecture-Gurgaon, Mata Vaishno Devi univ- Jammu, RV college -Bangalore, Jadhavpur University, Kolkata and many more. I will clear you one thing- B.Arch is way different from B.Tech in terms of study, course learning and placements also. 'Generally' there are no placements in B.Arch , but in no way it means architects are jobless. They have plenty of options to earn as assistant architect in good firms under reputed architects or start their their own firm in any city (Unlike B.Tech where you are dependent on your MNC or firm).
Architects build their own name, have their own individual identity, and they are their own Boss.
It is just like doctors, do they go for placements?? obviously no. But they do their own practice, or as consultant in hospitals etc.
