Hello,

IDD students study along with the BTech students of their batch upto 3rd year

From their fourth year onwards they study with MTech students they will study their fourth year with Mtech first year and their fifthth or final year is fully dedicated to dissertation like that of Mtech second year

Advantages :

integrated Masters program in bits allows students to get a specialisation in economics a degree in eco is valuable for many roles in business research

Some colleges like iits and bits etc offer very innovative & highly flexible selection of sub

Integrated programs in tech also allow one to take up cross functional specialisations

a mechanical eng undergraduate can take up specialisation in applied automation robotics that requires study of electronics programming

Disadvantages

high patience needed to study continuously for five years as it is studying for four years gets a little overwhelming

For those who are not interested in research this wastes one complete yr

Hope it helpful.

Thankyou
