Hello candidate. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and Information Technology (IT) are branches of Engineering which deals with programming and is completely software side. Compared to CSE, IT syllabus is less, simple and easy. IT deals with application of Computer Technology where as CSE deals with science which facilitates these application.

Electronics Communication Engineering (ECE) deals with both Electronics and Communication wheras Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) deals with Electronics and Electrical study. Compared to EEE, you can have more Government jobs if you go with ECE.

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

The major  difference between CSE and IT is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications.

To make it short and simple, Computer Science is the creation of software and hardware by using different programming skills. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task..

EE is the study and application of electrical systems for use in different environments and contains basic electronic courses and more power system.

In ECE you will deal with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force.

Thank You & All the best!

Hi Ujjwal Kumar Singh,

CSE: B.Tech CSE is a 4-year undergraduate engineering course on practical and theoretical knowledge of computer hardware and software.

IT: A student holding a degree in Information Technology can work as an IT Engineer responsible for operating computer systems, software, servers, computer networking or network securities. The programme focuses on the theoretical and technical aspects of designing, developing, researching and testing software as well as digital hardware. Information Technology is designed to teach students about various fundamental concepts of information security, web systems, computer networking and software engineering. The programme covers subjects like programming, mathematics, and operations among others.

ECE: ECE is purely a branch of physics, though its hard to accept but the only thing behind every device or concept in ECE I physics.

ECE is based on the study of electronics -a branch of physics.

Overall, ECE is a study of every aspect of electronic devices that is :

  • What is their principle of working
  • How they can be manufactured
  • Their physical charactristics in working (or in non-working states too)
  • How they can be used practically
  • Their development as per new requirements of technology.

Further, ECE specialises in Communication through electronics.

EEE: EEE is the undergraduate course that deals with all the areas of electronics and electrical engineering. Those areas include circuits, machines, Power systems, instruments etc. ..
