1. CAPF (Assistant Commandant): This exam is conducted by UPSC to select gazetted officers in the Central Armed Police Forces. The syllabus of this exam and that of UPSC is more or less the same. The written exam consists of two papers. The General Studies (250 Marks) is objective in nature and English (200 Marks) conventional in nature. This exam does not need any special kind of preparation other than what we do for UPSC CSE.
2. State Service Commissions: These exams are conducted by various states to select Deputy Collectors/DySP/Tehsildars in their respective states. The syllabus of these exams remains same as that of UPSC with respect to India and World but one has to prepare separately for States’ history, economy, geography and so on.
3. RBI Grade B and Assistant: For this exam, one has to study Economics in little detail. The vacancies in this exam are less and hence, the competition is more.
4. SSC CGL: This is an excellent opportunity a civil service aspirant can grab. The syllabus of this exam almost coincides with UPSC CSE. They have large vacancies and little dedicated study for this exam will definitely yield positive results.
