Most preferred option is to go for Phd. You can also Opt for teaching field after clearing NET.
There are many government job opportunities like in warehousing corporation, FSSAI, State Food Labs, etc.
Jobs in private sector are in production, quality, R&D, legal framework, audit.
In fact private option is more than Government.
