Hi dear,
Hope you are doing well!
Now let's go through your question.
So admission to B.Tech programs at Puducherry Engineering College is conducted through CENTAC Centralised Admission Committee. Admission offers are given under two categories.
Puducherry State for students from Puducherry, Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam districts of the state.
Other State for students from rest of the India.
For local quota, seats are filled based on the HSC/12th Class marks scored by the student. A merit list of all qualified applicants will be released by ranking them based on the marks scored.
For Other state quota, a merit list of all eligible applicants is made based on the All India Ranking in JEE Mains exam conducted that year. However, CENTAC will conduct the interview or counselling for seat distribution
Note, only 15% of seats are available in other state quota which leaves about 46 seats across 8 engineering departments of Puducherry Engineering College which is the only government run college for Engineering Education in Puducherry.
Thank You & All the best!
