The Stages of Descent are as follows :
- 3rd month of Intra uterine life(IUL) - it begins to descend from the lumbar region
- 4th month of IUL - It lies in the iliac fossa
- 4th to 7th month of IUL - It lies in the deep inguinal ring
- 7th month of IUL - it travels through the inguinal canal
- 8th Month of IUL - Lie in the superficial inguinal ring
- 9th month of IUL - it enters scrotal sac
- At or After birth - it reaches scrotal sac base
