what GATE paper among 24 papers can i give after doing B.Sc. physics

Hello Ranjita,

You are eligible to apply to appear for the GATE 2019 exam. Since, you have completed your B.Sc. in Physics, if you wish to pursue your career in M.Tech Physics, you are free to apply for the exam.

thanks sir...but actually i m in my 1st semester of B.Sc. physics...n i still have the doubt that m i only eligible for GATE physics paper or i can give other paper also like aerospace electronic civil etc

Ranjita, I guess its too early to predict the eligibility criteria for GATE 2021 or GATE 2022. Still, if you wish to apply for the other courses apart from Physics you can. Only thing is the syllabus. You have go through the syllabus in details so that you have an idea of what will be there in the question paper.

one more question.....how many yrs it will take to prepare for GATE if i give 1 hr time to it almost daily...n without coaching

Ranjita, is your degree of 4 years. If it is of 4 years duration. then only you will be able to write the GATE 2021 or GATE 2022.If you are having a 3 year B.Sc. in Physics, am sorry you will not be able to apply for the GATE exam. If you wish to give the GATE exam you will then be required to pursue your M.Sc. after completing the degree you will be able to appear for the GATE Exam.Also, preparing for GATE requires much hardwork and studying. Dedicating 1 hour daily for the GATE exam will not be helpful at any cost. You will be required atleast 3-4 hours a day if you wish to qualify GATE Exam.
