Hello Buddhu,

There are total three laws of thermodynamics: zeroth law, first law and second law.

The first law of thermodynamics statement is same as the statement for conservation of energy which says that energy can neither be created not destroyed. It can only be transformed from one form to the other. Heat engine is an example for the first law of Thermodynamics.

Hi there ,

Hope you're having a great day.

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that heat is a form of energy, and thermodynamic processes are therefore subject to the principle of conservation of energy. This means that heat energy cannot be created or destroyed. It can, however, be transferred from one location to another and converted to and from other forms of energy.

You can refer the website below to get an exact idea of what the first law of thermodynamics state.

If you have any further questions just let me know in the comments section below, Ill help you out as soon as possible.

Thanks a lot and best of luck for your future ahead.

Hello Buddu singh,

The first law of thermodynamics is a version of the law of conservation of energy , adapted for thermodynamic processes , distinguishing two kinds of transfer of energy, as heat  and as thermodynamic work , and relating them to a function of a body's state, called Internal energy  .

Hope this helps you...

Hello!!

The first law of thermodynamics is a version of the law of conservation of energy, adapted for thermodynamic processes, distinguishing two kinds of transfer of energy, as heat and as thermodynamic work, and relating them to a function of a body's state, called Internal energy.

Heat engines are a good example of this—heat transfer into them takes place so that they can do work. ... The first law of thermodynamics is the conservation-of-energy principle stated for a system where heat and work are the methods of transferring energy for a system in thermal equilibrium.
