what is a finger print without border?.i have made a 6×3 box and put thumb impression on it,then i cut out this box and scanned it with appropriate size,etc.I didn't scan the box from the whole sheet,i scanned only the box without the rest of the sheet.is it ok?
Sylvia, NBE has mentioned few guidelines regarding uploading thumb impression. Here they are:
Thumb impression must be a clear color thumb recent impression without border taken with white background. You should scan the box with Thumb impression in it, not the whole paper sheet. Then save the image as .jpg/.jpeg/.image format. The size of image should be less than 80kb. You can always check the size of the image by right click on the image and then going to “Properties” link. If the size of the image is more than 80 kb, then you have to adjust the settings of scanner such as setting the dpi of the scanner to 200 dpi and quality of image at low. If image size shows it is still more than 80 kb then you have to resize the image to the pre defined specifications.
Finger print without border means, you should not make any box around your fingerprint and then scan it. The fingerprint should be in a plane blank sheet. As long as it is in correct size as mentioned by the respective examination guidelines and satisfy all the basic details and criteria, it can be uploaded. So, don't scan the fingerprint with a box.
