See there is no fixed pattern of an interview in IIMs. Here interview are completely different and random. If you have work experience they will start digging on work experience. If you say something unusual they can ask you about that further more. So basically it's you who drives the interview that's why make sure whatever you say you keep on indirectly hinting towards your strengths so that they notice it and next question is related to the topic which you are very well aware. This way you camnearn brownie points.

For your basic preparations of interview:

  • Prepare general HR questions about yourself, why MBA, your strength, weakness etc. Also make sure everything you say in each answer you should thoroughly know about it, each and every word. If you are saying about some organisation name, a NGO anything like that then you should very well know about that organisation also because next question could be on that.

  • Second prepare about which leader you follow, why you follow and all his history geography everything

  • Third go through basic maths, tricky questions, puzzles because in every interview they are definitely gonna ask you a few maths questions to judge your analytical level

  • Fourth go through All the current affairs happening across India in political sector, business field. Not only go through them but also prepare your view and suggestions on it because they mostly ask your POV in order to check your intellectual

  • Also increase your general knowledge atleast in the fields which you are related in some way like if you play or watch some sports make sure you go through it properly. You said you are in dramatics so please choose one of your favourite theatre artist and prepare very well about him, go through his whole biography and why you like him or follow him. By asking this they check you whether you are really an artist or it's just a fake point in your resume

  • As you are fresher so they don't have anything to talk about your work experience so please make sure you pick up at least 2 subjects in which you are best because they ask you which subject you like and then start asking lot of questions on it. Also make sure once you go through all subjects

See as I told you earlier there is nothing fixed for interview. It's you who drive interview so make sure whatever you say you are well prepared about each and every word. Be honest in your answer rather than taking because the one who takes interview are very experienced they can catch you any time. Also present your points with your live examples like saying you are multitalented is not good until you mention how you have worked upon something in past.

These interviews are very important and actually these are the one which change the thing that whether you would be getting selected or not because it has on an average 35-40 % weightage in final aggregate marks of every college. So make sure you do it in an outstanding way.

All the best!!
