what is dual degree(5years) in b.tech and how it is different from normal course in b.tech(4 years)?
According to my point of view it's a best choice for students to pursue Integrated M.TECH course it he/she wanted to pursue M.TECH after engineering.
Benefits of choice integrated course
- Full 5 years plan in advance.
- No need to think about master branch.
- Time saving course.
- Simultaneously you can complete both degree in one admission.
- It's like buy one get one free choice.
- No need to preparation for extra entrance exam for M.TECH.
- In detail study about participating subject.
- No need to study unwanted subject during this period.
- Overall good for students.
Drawback:
- Long 5 year duration course.
- You will get bored after one year for you admission.
- No option for change we you feel not interested in that branch.
- You can't be flexible once you entered to course.
- You have to seen same environment for long term.
- You creativity of thinking will be stopped during middle of your course.
- Overall long term you need to study at same environment.
In B.TECH 4 year program you only go through your selected branch only. You will not go through extra program(4+1).
I hope it helps you.
Hello muppiri
Dual Degree means you will be getting two degrees (B.Tech an M. Tech)
which means you will get a B. Tech Degree and then a M. Tech Degree after 5 year course instead of 6 years . The advantage of dual degree is the fees of M Tech will be same when you started your B Tech and you will be saving a year of going to college and paying fees by dual degree system and get two degrees at the end .
Here are some colleges that offer dual degree
- MIT World Peace university , Pune
- Manipal Institute of Technology
- Lovely Professional University , Phagwara
- IIT Madras
- IIT Bombay
- IIT Delhi
- NIT, Rourkela
hope this helps you
