hey there,

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) was set up by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to regulate and manage the seat allocation for admission to institutes. The admission will be conducted for a total of 107 institutes that includes 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).

JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2022

for JEE Main

candidate Should have qualified 10+2th (or equivalent) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of either Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject as optional subject.
It is compulsory for general category candidates to have scored a minimum of 75% aggregate marks for admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. For reserved categories, the aggregate marks to be secured is 65%. However, if the candidates come under the top 20 percentile of their board, then they will also be eligible for admissions.
The JEE Main cutoff should be met by the candidates. However, this does not guarantee admissions.

for JEE Advanced

The candidates should be under the top 250,000 qualified candidates of JEE Main 2022.
For higher chances of admission, the cutoff of JEE Advanced should be met by the candidates.
