Merits of Autonomous college:

  • It is an independent college of the university system, that means no other institution can control over it's decisions and curriculum except the Central Organisations.
  • It can be very efficient and helpful for the students studying in autonomous college as they have no worries for decisions from the center branch.
  • For example all the IIT's belong to same system but are autonomous, no one can control over their curriculum and college decision.

Demerits of Autonomous college:

  • The system within a college may differ from other colleges and that may not fit collaterally.
  • Curriculum may not be similar to other colleges and examination system may differ

Studying in an autonomous college is of no worry, one should rather prefer studying in an autonomous college with no dependency.
