What is meant by internships in engineering colleges
Dear aspirant,
Certain universities like MUMBAI UNIVERSITY has made it mandatory for college students to do 3 internships. Now when a college provides internship, it is called college internships. Usually for a period of 1-6 months depending on the branch and year, the college does tie up with other companies and gets their students to work for a minimum pay or sometimes no pay for experience.
Note in an internship in engineering the certificate of experience is much more important than the pay.
Those who complete internships have a greater chance of getting placed in companies with ease
Dear Student,
Internship also called as training, means to get in the industrial environment/get exposure of day to day industrial work and how it is carried out. Internship is Very Important phase of any engineer's life . In this system You are allowed to go to a company (Related to your Branch !) and took a training for 60 days (days may vary from college to college.) . In companies You Learn about the working procedure . you come across how company manages to benefit us . The most important thing is that what have you learnt in those days
Hello manjunath,
An internship is a temporary work placements ( sometimes a few months over a summer break, some times part timr work throughout your degree) it might be paid or unpaid.
Engineering is a very broad feild, so you need to narrow your targets down first, for eg. A civil engineer may do CAD drafting, road ro bridge construction inspection or specification writing.
Hope it will help
All the best for future.
Internships is a term used either for training or for workings under a department head on a project.Companies recruit candidates from colleges for internships in several departments based upon the field they are specializing in the field of engineering.Candidates work for not less than equals to 6 months in a company. It helps to gain practical exposure in the tech world.Apart from grabbing the stipend a whole lot of experience can be gathered which os valuable for the future. Also it helps to update the resume from time to time, and candidates who have completed internships have a great preference.
Thank you.
Hello student,
An internship is a temporary work placement – sometimes a few months over a summer break, sometimes part-time work throughout your degree. It might be paid, usually at an hourly rate, or unpaid, in which case you should at least expect some expenses (such as food and travel to work) to be covered.
