This link will help you get the admission procedure of any technical government college in Maharashtra. Also, COEP has a M.Tech Admission Brochure which you can check out on the link below

www.coep.org.in › page_assets › Brochu...

In short, COEP only takes students who have qualified GATE followed by an interview.

Online application form for aspiring candidates is available at the website by paying the application processing fees.An application ID and Password is generated after payment of fees. The candidate should Log In into his account and fill the application form online. The candidate is required to take a print-out of the Online Application Form and get it verified at the nearest Facilitation Centre (FC). He/She should produce his/her Original 10th, 12th, B.Tech/B.E certificates, print-out of the Application Processing Fee receipt and all other required documents during the verification process. This will confirm his/her application The Provisional Merit List of all the different types of candidates will be displayed on the DTE website After this in a couple of days the final merit list will be displayed on the website.Considering his/her relative position in the Final Merit list, the candidate should fill minimum 1 and maximum 300 choices of institutes, in the correct order, through their login. The candidate is required to confirm the order of the choices himself/herself and not from the FC officer. This should be done before the CAP Round 1.Provisional Allotment of CAP Round 1 will be displayed on the website, accessible to the candidate through his login. The candidates who have been allotted a college and are satisfied with their allotment are required to Report and Accept the offered seat at one of the Admission Receipt Centers. If a candidate is not satisfied with his/her allotment, he/she can go to the next round by reporting at one of the Admission Receipt Centers. This goes on for 3 or 4 rounds.Once the last CAP round is over, vacant seats remaining in Autonomous and Government colleges are displayed on the DTE website. Based on these vacancies an Additional Round is conducted. All those who have got a seat as well as those who have not got a seat are eligible for this round. The candidate is required to fill the Option Form again for this round. If a candidate previously holding a seat gets allotted a new seat through the additional round, he has no option but to accept the new seat. He/she loses his old seat.
