Hello candidate,

Provisional certificate is a temporary document issued to student to have a proof of their qualifications, till they receive the original certificate. It is a temporary certificate until the original certificate is provided. The provisional certificate is also considered by the organisation or firms who are hiring candidates for the job or the universities or colleges who are accepting a postgraduate candidature.

To get provisional certificate all University have different processes. So it is better to ask in your college or university or ask your classmates or senior. This may help you more.

souravmishra931 Provisional certificate is given immediately after you complete you course because it can be given within a month but for degree certificate it takes 6 months to 1 year of time after you complete your courses. With the help of provisional certificate you can immediately apply for the job or for admission in other college and once you get degree certificate , provisional certificate becomes invalid and then you have to submit your degree certificate.
If you still you have got a doubt please let me know. Thank you

Hello Junior,

A provisional certificate is a document which is transitional in nature and given in order to be utilized until the time the original degree is not issued. The Provisional Degree Certificate makes sure that the students pursue higher education, or apply for a job.

You can apply it from your school or college administration directly to get your provisional certificate. You have to write a application to the name of your school's or college Directors or Dean who have the power to issue your Provisional certificate.

Please make it clear which provisional certificate you actually want because some are already present on Digilocker and they are valid also.

GOOD LUCK !

Hello Aspirant,

Provisional certificate is granted to students on behalf of the original certificate who passes the University or Board Examination, and it certifies that you have undergone the education mentioned in the certificate. For most universities, the actual certificates are issued after a convocation.

This also means that this is a transitional certificate until the actual certificate is issued. The provisional certificate is also accepted by the companies who are recruiting or the universities who are accepting a postgraduate candidature.

Once the degree is issued by the concerned university or college, the provisional degree becomes invalid. Before that, there is no expiry date.

And to seek admission in St Xavier kindly visit their official site for detailed information.

This may help.

Happy learning!
