What is snq quota in kcet my family income is less than 2L As per my rank my rank I am eligible for some clg .Will I get my desired clg if I go through this quota ?

Hi Abishek.

I guess you are doing well in this pandemic.

And Supernumerary Quota (SNQ) are for the candidates who are economically weak . This quota allows the students from the economically weaker sections of  to gain admission in engineering colleges across the state for reduced tuition fees.

And all the students whose income is 6 Lakhs per annum, will be qualified automatically for this quota. You can also verify this during the document verification. It will be given that you are eligible for this SNQ quota.

But all the students who are eligible will not get this quota. Only few students in every colleges will get this quota. It will be known during the seat allocation.

All colleges will have this quota even your desired colleges too will have this. And this quota will be allotted based on ranking. If you are lucky then you will get this quota. And fees for this quota is Rs.4500/- per year.

SNQ (Supernumerary Quota) are for the candidates who are economically weak. The SNQ allows students from the economically weaker sections of the society to gain admission in engineering colleges across the state for low tuition fees.

The entire government fees is waived off for an eligible candidate and you only has to pay a token amount for other costs.

If the candidates income is less that Rs. 6.0 lakhs per year, you become automatically eligible for SNQ quota.The number of eligible candidate per candidate is limited to 5 percent of the total available seats.

The seats are allotted based on the merit lists and ranks.

The candidates have to make sure that they produce an income certificate and submit it at the document verification.

All candidates including General Merit candidates are eligible for Supernumerary quota seats.

Income Certificate has to be obtained from concerned Tahasildar to claim “Supernumerary Quota” seats.
