Coming to your query, colleges generally do not provide any placement assistance as such for M. Sc. courses. Thus, I would suggest you not to rely on placements and network with your peers, teachers, etc, and subscribe to websites that share openings in the science domain.
Admissions are based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam. A student must pass B. Sc. with any of the biosciences subject to be eligible for the course with 60% aggregate or equivalent.
Oxford College of Science is one of the best colleges affiliated to Bangalore University and is indeed a reputed one.
