What is the criteria of calculating graduation marks and entrance marks for LLB course in PU ?

PU LLB Entrance Exam Tie-Break
If two or more candidates secure the same marks/rank in the entrance exam conducted for PU LLB admissions then tie-break in such a scenario would be done as per the below-mentioned criteria:
- The candidate getting a higher percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, that is, the Bachelor’s degree is ranked higher in order of merit.
- If the tie still remains then the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks in the immediate lower exam shall rank higher in order of merit.
- If the tie still remains then the candidate who is older in age is ranked higher in order of merit.
PU LLB Entrance Exam Merit List
Panjab University publishes PU LLB Merit List with names of candidates if they have attained at least 20% aggregate marks in the law entrance test taken as a whole. SC/ST/BC/PWD candidates meet this criterion if they have minimum 15% aggregate marks in the exam.
The final merit for PU LLB admission is computed by the concerned Department/Centre after taking into account the relative weightage for final merit for admission in respective courses. The relative weightage as applicable to the department/centres are as follows:
For LLB entrance exam- 50% for the qualifying exam and 50% for the entrance test.
The official website of PU LLB Entrance Exam informs: “Qualifying an Entrance Test does not entitle a candidate to seek admission in a course. The candidate will have to fill up and submit an online Admission Form at Panjab University’s official website and has to meet the eligibility requirements of the course”.
