masters in Fashion Technology(M.F.Tech) is a postgraduate course in fashion designing and technology. A candidate has to be a B.Tech graduate from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course. however Master of Science [M.Sc.] in Fashion Technology is a 2-year full-time postgraduate course, the minimum eligibility for which is a Higher Secondary Certificate (10+2) qualification along with Graduation in any of the following streams – Textile Technology( textile design and weaving), Apparel Technology/ Applied Arts and Crafts Technology/Garment Technology/Textile marketing and Processing/Textile Technology/ Fashion Technology.
M.F.Tech graduates can obtain jobs in sectors like Apparel/Garment Designing, Management, Consultancy, Fashion Designing etc. and work as Apparel Designer, Design Consultant, and Production Manager etc. A fresh graduate of this course can expect an average starting annual salary of 1 Lakh INR to 2.5 Lakhs INR
