What is the difference between MD n DNB?

Dear Sharon,

MD is a post Graduate degree which are given by medical colleges or affiliated universities or deemed University. These universities may have recognisation from all over the country by medical council of india or by state medical council or within a state.

DNB is a post doctoral diploma which is offered by National Board of examination under the ministry of health and family welfare of government of India. It is given to the candidates who complete post graduate or post doctoral medical education under it.

What is the duration of both the courses?

Dear Sharon,
The duration of the DNB course is 3 years of training/part time( min. 20 hrs per week of 3 years).
The duration of the MD is 3 years .
