What is the difference between pg and ug seat?? .....confused
Hi,
"UG" stands for undergraduate, which refers to programmes or seats for students who are pursuing their first degree, typically right after high school (Class 12), such as a bachelor's degree. "PG" stands for postgraduate, referring to advanced programmes or seats for students who have already completed an undergraduate degree and are pursuing further education, such as a master's or doctoral degree. In summary, UG is for initial degree programmes, while PG is for advanced studies after completing an undergraduate degree.
Hope this helps.
UG stands for Undergraduate. UG course is generally three or four years programme that is done after completing class 12th. On the other hand, PG stands for Postgraduate which is generally for one or two years. To be eligible for postgraduate programmes, candidates must have obtained Bachelor degree.
PG is postgraduate course which can be done done after Undergraduate course(UG) .
Ex:- MBA, Mtech, MSC.
UG is Undergraduate course which is done after 12th.
Ex:- BSC, BA, B com etc . But These are are not professional degrees.

And UG seat refers to Under Graduate seats which mostly starts with word "B" like B-Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com. You are eligible for UG courses only if you are 12th pass or studying in 12th or if you have completed diploma.
PG stands for Post Graduate. The degree you pursue after completion of you bachelor's degree all comes under the category of PG. For further understanding any masters degree is considered as PostGraduate, M.Tech, MSc, M.Com,MBA or any such.
UG means under graduation which is bachlors degree
