These both are similar in some way or the other. Some differences are CS requires more mathematics background while IT requires statistics,process pro or data analysis. Careers in IT include system administrator, business analyst, network engineer, technical support specialist, programmer. Careers in CS include software engineer, Java developer, system engineer, software developer,comp computer programmers. The IT includes more organising, installing and maintaining computer systems while CS include programming computers using mathematical algorithms. These both have wider range and appreciable growth.

That means they understand the “why” behind computer programs. Using algorithms and advanced mathematics, computer scientists invent new ways to manipulate and transfer information. Computer scientists are generally concerned with software, operating systems and implementation.
