Hello Student..

You must sign on the xeroxed documents if they are self-attested.

To give you an example, if you wish to self-attest your class 10 marksheet, all you have to do is xerox it and sign it.

The steps of Self-Attestation are as follows:

Make a photocopy of the original document you've been asked to provide.

On the front side, lower right or left corner of the photocopy, write the statement "True copy of the original."

Sign below the statement.

If there are numerous pages attached, follow the same steps for each.

With the application, provide the self-attested photocopies.

Originals should be kept.
