See Omkar there is a qualifying criteria for 12th percentage kept by both the NEET and the AIIMS to get eligible for writing the exam this criteria for NEET exam is 50% aggregate in PCB overall for students of general category and 45% aggregate in PCB for reserved category and physically handicapped and in the AIIMS examination its 60% aggregate in PCB for General and 50%aggregate for reserved category and physically handicapped

The minimum percentage for general category is 60% in physics chemistry biology and English.

For reserved categories it is 10% less, i.e, 50%.

AIIMS MBBS eligibility: Educational qualification

Candidates should have qualified 12th board or equivalent examination of 10+2 education system recognised by AIIMS Delhi.

They should have also studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects in their 10+2 level.

In addition to the above conditions, candidates belonging to General and OBC categories should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the aggregate of aforesaid subjects and those belonging to SC, ST and OPH categories should have obtained at least 50%.

Hi Omakr,
For General Category you need 50% marks. For Physically Handicapped is 45% and for OBC/SC/ST is 45% (PH is 40%) Also, that the marks scored for Math would not be taken into consideration in this exam.

50 percent is the minimum for neet. 60 percent is for aiims. Both are for general category.

Hi Omkar, The minimum requirement/ eligibility are as follows



NEET ELIGIBLITY



The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December, i.e. the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course



Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) & Foreign Nationals are eligible



There will be no maximum age limit for NEET 2017 as per theSC order passed on March 31, 2017.



The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination.



For candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination must be minimum 40% instead of 50% for General candidates.



Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.



The candidates appearing for Class XII examination in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.
