Hi,

To get home state relaxations, one should have following criteria satisfied:

  • Should belong to the state
  • Should have living/domicile certificate as a proof for residence of the state
  • For Delhi, if candidate has completed class 11th and class 12th from Delhi Public School, is eligible for home state benifits.
  • Have cast certificate issued by that state is a plus point

The cut-off for home state are higher than All India Cutoff for same college seat. Means, there is some percentage of seats for home state students.

So, if you belong to other state, you need to get rank lower than home state rank, means a little more hardwork.

I hope it clarifies your doubt.

Thank you!
