The qualifying percentile is the minimum cut off percentile that a candidate has to score to qualify in the JEE Main. Every year this qualifying percentile changes depending on number of candidates qualified, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. In 2020 the cut off percentile for EWS category was 70.2435518. In 2021 the cut off percentile is expected to be in between 70- 75 percentile. You need to score above cut off percentile to have decent chances of getting seat in a NIT of your choice. Analyzing the previous year cut off you need to score minimum 95 percentile or above to have decent chances of getting seat in a NIT. To score such percentile you need to score minimum 160-190 marks.
