TB specialist is no doubt in high demand. You can definitely take this branch as there is lot to do for TB and chest diseases in India. TB is growing very fast ,and the problem now is they are all MDR and XDR and TDR tbs. The duration is for 3 years.
MD Pulmonology is actually MD(Chest and TB). In a good hospital, u will learn a lot about chest diseases, bronchoscopy etc.
MD in TB easily earns from 40,000 to 1lac.
In some cities it goes upto 2lacs. This figure varies from city to city.
India is the country with the highest burden of Tuberculosis . You can definitely have a look on this as a future career.
