Total fees for b.tech. in manipal institute of technology is 1176000 Rs. There are various types of scholarship provided by the college:
1. Board toppers scholarships - this scholarship is provide to board toppers from various boards like cbse, state boards, etc. You must have atleast 90% marks in class 12th to become eligible for this scholarship.
2. Freeship, scholar, and achiever scholarship - this scholarship is provided to meritorious students. You should have atleast 80% marks in class 12th to become eligible for this scholarship.

Since you have got 171 marks in the entrance exam, then you are most likely to get cse in the college. But we can't say it for sure because every year there is variation in number of applications.

As you have mentioned that you have got 171 marks in met manipal entrance examination ,so according to my knowledge you would easily get computer science branch there.You shoud be rest assured about that.

The cost of 4 years course in manipal is a very high and I would sum the 4 years course including hostel fees ,tuition fees ,extra fees charged by institute and travel expenses. It would cost you around 20-22L per annum.
