Hello Mukul
It firstly depends on your field of interest, so that you may go ahead with the preference of branch. If you are neutral with all the branches, then you can go with the older iits. ECE in IIT Kharagpur is great, but if you are interested in the field of mathematics and data, you can opt for mathematics and Computing at IIT guwahati. Besides this, the newer IITs, IIT(ISM) dhanbad and IIT(BHU) Varanasi are doing great. Both have a big alumni network, which is necessary factor. If you like coding, you can go with ISM, but amongst these 2, according to me BHU is a better option. Also keep in mind that all the branches are equally good, they all have great placement statistics and various companies recruiting students from these fields. Preferred options will be the older iits.
I hope this helps you. Choose wisely. You could also consider the location factor if you want to.
All the best!!
