What should be the path for the students who took PCM in 11th & 12th but doesn't wish to continue or do Engineering?
If you are looking for job prospects then engineering is a safe option. This is the profession which has the most jobs that is why there is still craze among students to get admission in top engineering institutions.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) runs the economy which in turn provides the job. So, engineering is a good option.
Depending on the interest, students who wish to avoid B.Tech also have other good options these days. For example, they can go for a law degree with B.Tech. And, if they wish to completely avoid B.Tech then also there are various courses for them.
They can go for B.Arch if they have creativity, design thinking and other skills.
Basic science is also getting more importance these days because post corona things will go back to basics.
Data Analytics is also becoming more computational and mathematical. It is a data driven world so data is not traditional engineering. It is more mathematical and analysis of data that would also be an interesting option for students with PCM.

Hi Mona,
There are various other options available for science students who don't want to apply or go ahead to pursue a science course or a degree. You can try management, business, commerce, law etc. And you will have an advantage in preparation as you have had maths as compared to commerce students who are not as good as science students are in the quants part. You can check CLAT, DUJAT,Christ and other programs depending on what you like.
Hope it helps,
Thanks.
